Can you please forward this message to the family members.
Hope everything is fine over there. We're having a terrific time exhausting
ourselves over here. It's just past five on Saturday evening (7th April) which
would be about just after one in the morning Sunday your time which means the
Adelaide Crows will have just won their first game and are BACK!
We are waiting for our train to Luxor which leaves in about two hours time. Its
an overnight first class sleeper train so hopefully shouldn't be too tiring.
We recovered well from the flight(s) over here. The total travel and layover
time ended up being about 36 hours in total but we managed to get a fair bit of
sleep mixed in with some pretty good food and a more than adequate number of
beers. We can particularly recommend the British Airways international lounge
at Heathrow for its range of international beers and wine (help yourself!)
We've had two very full days in Cairo. Saw the pyramids and Sphynx yesterday
which were awesome. Today we went to the Egyptian museum which was absolutely
huge. Full of fantastic gold stuff. Then went to the bazaar and bought some
cheap and nasty stuff.
We spend 3 days in Luxor then come back here for another day before heading off
to Greece (via the British Airways lounge again which is a bugger).
